...But come to think about it, aren't all chaps assless?...otherwise they're just called "pants"...hmm Anyway, here it is, the fist stage of the sketch, at this point it's all graphite in the H's; all harder than 4H actually. So from here I will start deepening the blacks and flushing out the values more fully. With any luck the next stage may even be posted by Monday, so stay tuned!

That's right, the title don't lie! It took a while for me to get back to this painting what with Christmas, illness and the on-going battle with the powers of darkness, but I finally got the Nazi bitch done. I was originally going to do a black spatter over the red background, but as i started blocking in the black I decided I liked that look. It seems to be a bit reminnicent of 70's posters for schlock B-movies. Which seems perfect as it's theme has obvious connection to Nazi-Exploitation vehicles like "Ilsa, She Wolf of the SS." Anyway, enjoy. I am not sure what painting will be up next as I don't have a shoot in the cue...so we shall all be surprised... So It's been a super busy last few weeks, what with the holidays and blah blah blah...so anyway, I finally got around to adding the first round of color into the painting..in the process I screwed up the suspenders so one step backward there, oh well. Other then that it is going pretty smoothly..dig Pick the next Pin-Up Painting theme!I am not quite sure what theme I want to do for my next painting, I have narrowed it down to four possibilities to choose from. You can help me out by picking the theme you would most like to see painted next! Here are the options:
So there you have it, pick your favorite below, when I am finished with the current painting, I will begin on the winning theme. Thanks for your help! For the next painting I will be doing a Egyptian theme. I drew inspiration for her outfit from historical sources as well as some more fictional sources. While researching I couldn't find any visual evidence that women would paint there bodies in gold, but it seemed like a fun idea. Anyway, it may not be apparent in the sketch, but she is not completely nude, but rather entirely (accept for her face) covered in gold paint. |
